Indigenous Employee Retention Strategy resource

The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) has released its latest resource, to assist employers to recruit and mentor Indigenous employees. Visit for more resources and case studies that can assist any sized tourism business to employ Indigenous staff.​

Economic Participation Framework

The Queensland Government has also launched its Q​ueensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Economic Participation Framework​​ to effectively engage with communities, industries and across different levels of government to identify actions and strategies to increase economic participation. The Framework recognises that economic participation is an essential step towards improving life outcomes and empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities.

Reconciliation Australia

Reconciliation Australia provides information and resources to support workplaces who want to employ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, including information on the benefits and resources for developing a Reconciliation Action Plan​.​

Indigenous Business Australia

Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) is an Australian Government initiative that offers programs to provide the means for Indigenous Australians to create wealth and accumulate assets, take up investment opportunities, create business enterprises that provide additional employment opportunities, and purchase homes.

Indigenous Advancement Strategy

The Indigenous Advancement Strategy provides funding within programme streams including Jobs, Land and Economy and Children and Schooling.

Apprenticeship and traineeship incentives

Information is provided on apprenticeship and traineeship incentives including State Government, Australian Government, and Industry funding.
